Aye up Steve, couple of things, went to see MUSE on Saturday night in Manchester and I have to say it is one of the best gigs I've been to in a while, they are phenomenal live! For such a big venue, their sound was incredible (the bass could always be a bit louder tho :-))! Nice to see Mr Wolstenhulme using his collection of Status basses, he's seen the light!!
Could you also put a couple of gigs on the guide for us:
Sat 11th September @ THE RAILWAY Knottingley WF11 8RN,
Friday 17th September @ SPAT OUT OF HULL BIKE RALLY, Dunswell S&S club HU6 0AA
DAVE STANDEVENS 50TH BIRTHDAY Sunday 19th September @ Shoulder of Mutton Mirfield WF14 0AE (ALL WELCOME)
Thanks Steve!

I am Looking for bands to play at the event and also i am trying to find out who did the lighting and PA at the keys for the keys to the core event? as i would like to ask if they are available. if you could help me on this would be great. We will also have to try meet up for the banners etc if that would be ok...

Good stuff Jay. Bands who wants to help make charity money at this event? Also Jay, it was Joe and Marcus who did sound and lights at The Keys but Joe's on tour with Invisible Idols in November. I'll talk to him about it. Banners wont be a problem, plenty of time!

Morning Captain,
Hope you're all well!
Don't know if your aware of it but The Black Bull in Castleford are having their annual "Bull Fest" on Saturday With 10 bands playing from 2pm and one of the 10 is my new originals band *Cor Amor*. As this is our FIRST gig we're hoping to get some good feedback. If you or any of the ROTN'ers are in or about Castleford we're on stage around 7pm, any feedback would be greatly apreciated!
Much Love, Jake & Cor Amor!

Cheers for this Crush and well done to you for Saturday, you all did a truly fantastic job. The Keys has seen some great musicians over the past couple of years and it deserves it's status as Morley's Premier Music Venue...to quote Mav! Keys to the Core was something that I planned to look as good as possible for a few reasons. I wanted the bands to feel like they were playing somewhere special. I also wanted to support the Keys and make it look and sound like the great venue it is, to hopefully further it's reputation, and I also wanted people to think that RotN cares about what it's doing.(I even polished our drums!) Our Joe worked his arse off that four days with help from Marcus and the Keys crew.It was a great success. Without the bands generous contributions, like Keysfest 2,it wouldn't have happened! The friendship between all the bands always makes me feel good and everyone helps each other.Keep up the good work!

Morning Steve - hope you are well - Just read Carl from rockdogz comment - so who is going to tell me - what specification is a club worthy PA?
Also quick message for Bren - you will have your quote shortly for keyboard cases - currently doing the headless chicken - trying to get organised for the show on sunday.
Regards
Tony

You need 5k really Tony. Club agents used to be finniky about what brand of PA was used , hence the (forced) popularity of Logic 1296! Mackie saw some favour too. Old school PA was the Martin F1 (I think). If you went to an agency showcase you'd see loads of Logic gear. Bren's inquiry...I feel sure he will be impressed with your products Tony!Hope to see you at the guitar show on Sunday.

Greetings Steve & fellow ROTN's, just want to say what a great gig we had on Saturday night when we played Acklam Steelies for the first time. Good club, nice big stage and great crowd. Would also like to give a special mention to Ian of Teeside Sound PA Hire for doing such a superb job for us on the night. He comes highly recommended for any bands playing in the north east region without their own 'club-worthy' pa. His rates are very reasonable too (£130 for a 6k Peavey QW rig + 2 man crew). We are now looking forward to another first when we play the Cross Keys in Morley this coming Saturday followed by a gentle Sunday teatime knees up when we revisit the now legendary landlord 'Daz' at the Foresters in Huddersfield! Cheers, Carl ROCK DOGZ

That PA company are well suited being in the area. Our lads have too much of a trek with a big van to make it worthwhile. Glad you enjoyed the gig, I really like the club too.
